ROAD WORK TO START UP NEXT WEEK IN INDIANA FOR TWO PROJECTS

Road work will continue on one of Indiana’s major roads on Monday.

PennDOT announced that the Oakland Avenue project will get back underway on Monday, May 11th between Rustic Lodge Road and Day Drive for a drain replacement operation.  Waterline relocation related to the construction will re-start near Aldi and Eat n’ Park.  This is part of the $19.83 million Route 286 widening and resurfacing project including the widening of 286 from the interchange of Route 422, replacement of the McCarthy Run Creek bridge, and sidewalk installation.

Crews from Gulisek Construction will work on the project under guidelines from the State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.  Work will wrap up in that area on Friday.

A second project will get underway on Monday.  The Route 36 roadway improvement project will extend from the Clearfield-Indiana County line to the intersection of Route 36 and Lipp Road.  The work includes patching of the roadway and overlay, updates to the drainage and guide rail and road preservation work.

The $2.4 million roadway improvement project will be worked on by the Derry Construction Company and is expected to wrap up by the end of July of this year.
