A resurfacing and repairs project on Interstate 94/694 between Brooklyn Boulevard and Dupont Avenue in Brooklyn Center begins Monday. Ramps in the area will be closed until mid-May. The work is expected to be completed by early June.

Drivers won’t be able to take the ramp from Brooklyn Boulevard to eastbound I-94 and the ramp from westbound I-94 to Brooklyn Boulevard.

During closure, traffic will detour west on I-94 to County Road 81 and back east on I-94.

The project will also include drainage improvements, signal system work and upgrading pedestrian and bicycle crossings. All work will be completed by early June weather permitting.
