Lane closures and traffic stoppages on both the Parkway East and Parkway West will continue Saturday night through the rest of the weekend, according to PennDOT.
In Robinson, Moon and North Fayette townships, shoulder-patching work on the Parkway West will happen — weather permitting — until around 10 a.m. Sunday morning. The lane closures will be between the Exit 58/ Montour Run Road interchange and the Exit 57/Business Loop 376 interchange.
The Montour Run Roud on-ramp to westbound I-376 will be closed through the entire weekend.
The posted detour suggests taking the Robinson Town Centre Boulevard Exit, taking theI-376 westbound ramp toward the airport and following the Parkway back to the Montour Run Road interchange.
The Parkway West work is part of a nearly $8 million improvement project that involves work on drainage, guiderails, medians, signage and 13 ramps throughout that corridor.
On the Parkway East, traffic stoppages will occur in Pittsburgh from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The stoppages will be 15 minutes or less, according to PennDOT, and happen near the Glenwood and Oakland exits — Exits 73A and 73B, respectively.
PennDOT officials said stoppages will not happen in both directions at the same time.
The work, which includes bridge jacking operations on the bridge over Bates Street, is part of the Hazelwood Green project.
