Paving work to close part of County Road 33 in Marshall - Marshall Independent

MARSHALL — Road construction will affect part of Lyon County Road 33 in Marshall next week, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said. Starting Monday, crews will be doing paving work on County Road 33 (East Erie Road) where it connects with U.S. Highway 59 in Marshall. A short detour is planned to be in place for most of the week.

The paving work is needed after a culvert replacement earlier this summer, MnDOT said. While the construction is going on, drivers will not be able to travel west on County Road 33 from Highway 59. Instead, traffic will have to travel around, using Michigan Road, Halbur Road and County Road 33.

Paving work on County Road 33 is expected to be complete by the end of the day Thursday, weather permitting, MnDOT said.

Drivers should watch for orange cones, and slow down when approaching work zones, MnDOT said.
