
The Montclair Public Library has been named the 2021 “Wi-Fi At Work” award winner by WifiForward, a coalition of companies, organizations and public sector institutions working to keep communities connected over the internet.
“Wi-Fi is a literal lifeline,” WifiForward spokesperson Ellen Satterwhite said. “So many organizations found creative ways to bring this lifeline to more people when they needed it most. These Wi-Fi At Work Awards recognize these remarkable organizations. On behalf of all our coalition members, we are pleased to honor this vital work to connect our communities.”
WiFiForward presented 16 awards and recognized organizations that have kept communities connected via Wi-Fi during this time. Montclair Public Library was recognized for its Senior Hotspot Program.
“We are honored to be recognized for our efforts to keep our community connected,” Montclair Public Library Director Peter Coyl said. “We know how vital a resource the internet is in today’s society. With the pandemic finding ways for our Seniors to stay connected to friends, family, and their community during this global health crisis.”
