FL Star is moving ahead on the construction of a new road that will connect Sapphire Cove directly to Rattlesnake Hammock Road. Sapphire Cove is a new community of single-family homes being developed off Collier Boulevard in South Naples.

“Work is progressing on Carmen Drive, which lies just to the east of Sapphire Cove,” said Gary Hains, vice president of FL Star, developer of Sapphire Cove. “Storm water piping and fill has been completed, and we are working on the next phase of construction.”

Carmen Drive will provide residents with a convenient access to Rattlesnake Hammock Road, US 41 and the amenities of downtown Naples, Hains noted.

“This will add another option to all of the recreational amenities available to residents at Sapphire Cove,” he said.

Sapphire Cove is located on a 30-acre site and includes only 75 single-family homes on generous lots measuring 57 feet wide by 140 feet deep. The community is bordered by a preserve and is centered around a 3-acre lake fringed with native grasses and vegetation.

Nearing completion is the community clubhouse, which inclues a fitness center with state-of-the-art workout equipment as well as free weights, yoga or aerobics room, and meeting room. Outdoors there will be a custom resort-style swimming pool.

In addition to the amenities planned within Sapphire Cove, residents may take advantage of an abundance of enrichment and educational opportunities nearby. Serenity Park and the Collier Boulevard bike trail provide options for the outdoor enthusiast. The 80-acre campus of Florida Southwestern State College is just down the road, where residents may take a course or simply enjoy sports or a performance. And for medical care, Physicians Regional Hospital and an array of other medical facilities are located right on Collier Boulevard.

The floors plans available at Sapphire Cove offer living arrangements to appeal to a variety of family lifestyles and needs and include both single-story and two-story designs. Plans range from a spacious home with two bedrooms with a study in 2,041 square feet to an expansive plan with four bedrooms and three and one-half baths in 3,178 square feet.

“We allow buyers to make changes to designs in our portfolio of home plans, and that is a special attraction to many families,” Hains noted. “We’ve added a three-car garage to one design, extended the garage for another buyer and made various other changes to accommodate our customers.”

Hains noted that many builders do not allow changes to the existing floor plans they offer.

The Sapphire Cove property is part of the Hacienda Lakes Community Development District and is accessed via the Lord’s Way approximately half a mile east of Collier Boulevard.

Sapphire Cove is being developed by an affiliate of FL Star. At the helm of FL Star, a conglomerate of real estate entities, are David E. Torres and Gary Hains, who offer more than 40 years of combined experience in the construction industry. Other projects by FL Star include Milano Lakes, a luxury apartment community also located off Collier Boulevard in Naples; Arrowhead Reserve, a community of single-family homes in Immokalee; and single-family homes in Golden Gate Estates. FL Star also provides management services for commercial and industrial buildings for real estate owners and condominium associations including maintenance, collection of rents and financial reporting.
