BENNINGTON — The following list of road projects for the coming week was supplied by the Bennington Department of Public Works. Motorists are asked to use caution and expect delays, as workers and equipment will be in roadways. All work is weather-dependent.
Apple Hill, Astrachan Drive, Cortland Lane, McIntosh Lane, Michael's Drive and Willow Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic for the next several weeks for PFOA water line extension work.
The upper part of Gore Road will be closed to through traffic on a day to be determined as a private contractor makes a new
water connection in the area of the mobile home park. Residents can enter and exit from either end of Gore Road.
Harwood Hill Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic between Northside Drive and the Route 7 connector for PFOA water line extension work for the next several weeks.

Hunt Street will be reduced to one-lane traffic at the intersection of Robinson Avenue on Monday for patching.
Kocher Drive may be reduced to one-lane traffic between Aldi's and Performance Drive for work on the sidewalk extension project.

Rice Lane will be closed to all through traffic for the next three weeks as a highway crew reconstructs a river crossing/culvert near Matteson Road. Residents will only have access from either side of Rice Lane. Motorists are asked to find an alternate route.
Robinson Avenue at the intersection of Hunt Street will be closed Monday for patching. Residents may use Pageant Street for access.
Safford Street will be closed to through traffic Monday and Tuesday between Gage and Scott streets for the repair of a water main at Morgan Springs.

School Street will be reduced to one lane between Main and Pleasant streets as a crew test digs for a power pole relocation in anticipation of new sidewalk project.
Townwide: Highway crews will be painting road markings at various locations throughout town. Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.
Downtown: A crew will be cleaning out tree boxes. Sidewalk restrictions will be in place. Additionally, a crew will be grinding uneven sidewalks downtown.
Residents are asked not to rake or blow leaves into town streets or highways, as this clogs drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for everyone. Residents and contractors are also reminded to make certain that all loads are covered when taking leaves or brush to the transfer station.
