Caltrans will begin lane and ramp closures along U.S. Highway 101 in San Rafael beginning Tuesday in preparation for resurfacing work.
The resurfacing work will take place between North San Pedro Road and Lucas Valley Road. Both directions of the freeway will be affected between the hours 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The bus stop along Highway 101 will be closed at both ramp locations.
The road work will include grinding, paving and resurfacing the locations with a high friction treatment. It will be performed intermittently, according to a Caltrans spokesperson.
The work is expected to be completed in mid-January.
