The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, weather permitting:
Carbon County
• Mahoning Township, Hemlock Drive lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Route 209 and Route 902, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; Seneca Road lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Route 902 and Route 443, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
• East Penn Township, Berger Creek Road lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Route 895 and Mahoning Mountain Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
• Lehigh/Lausanne Township, Buck Mountain Road lane restriction in both directions between Laurytown Road and Leslie Run Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; Lehigh Gorge Drive lane restriction between Route 534 and Monroe County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Palmerton Borough and Lower Towamensing Township, Delaware Avenue/Little Gap Road milling and paving between Route 209 and East of Moyer Place, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sept. 15. The project also includes guide rail updates and new pavement markings.
Lehigh County
• Upper Macungie Township, Church Street utility work between Main Street and Moyer Road, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Monroe County
• Hamilton Township, Route 33 inspection between I-80 and Route 209, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Multiple townships: Route 209 shoulder work/widening between Neola Road and Bridge Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; Marshalls Creek Road, lane restriction for pipe flushing between Route 209 and Pike County line, 3-10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Various townships: I-80 lane restriction between Exit 293 (I-380) and New Jersey State line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• Stroud Township, Route 209 shoulder work/widening between four-lane 209 and Main Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.
Northampton County
• Various townships: Route 22 line painting between Lehigh County line and New Jersey state line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Route 33 line painting between Belfast Exit and Saylorsburg Exit, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• Lower Saucon, Bethlehem Township, Williams: I-78 highway beautification between Exit 75 (To Route 611) and Lehigh County line, 6-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Schuylkill County
• Foster/Frailey/Tremont Township, I-81 crack sealing between Exit 100 (Route 443) and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road), 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
