BENNINGTON — The following list of road projects for the coming week was supplied by the Bennington Department of Public Works. Motorists are asked to use caution and expect delays, as workers and equipment will be in roadways. All work is weather dependent.
Burgess Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic as a highway crew prepares the area for new paved sidewalks.
Lower Chapel Road, between North Branch Street and Crossover Road, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as a a crew works on the PFOA water main extension project. Detours will be in place. Motorists should schedule their time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.
County Street between Safford and Park streets will be reduced to one-lane traffic all week as a highway crew continues storm drain repairs.

Depot Street in North Bennington will be reduced to one-lane traffic on Wednesday and Thursday while a large hazard tree is removed from the Village right-of-way.
The west/lower side of Imperial Avenue will be closed Tuesday through Friday as a highway crew begins repair and/or removal work of the retaining wall and sidewalks.

Pleasant Street between Park and Valentine streets remains rough until paving and patching can be completed.
Polygraphic Lane in North Bennington will be paved Tuesday.

Scott Street remains rough until patching and paving can be completed.
South Stream Road between Beech Street and the SVSU offices will be reduced to one-lane traffic all week as a highway crew removes old sidewalk and curbing in preparation for new paved sidewalks.
Townwide: A sewer crew will be repairing several manholes across town. A water crew will be clearing and working several water valves across town in preparation for semi-annual Hydrant Flushing the following week
The town asks residents not to rake or blow leaves into town streets or highways, as these clog storm drains and create flooding and driving hazards for the entire community. Residents and contractors are asked to make sure that all loads are covered when hauling leaves or brush to the transfer station.
