As UNCW prepares to officially celebrate the Class of 2020 with two virtual commencement ceremonies on Dec. 12, the work of many student artists within the class is on view for the campus and community to enjoy. Because of the COVID pandemic, these annual exhibits are being presented in an online format.

The 2020 UNCW Senior Art Exhibition showcases the work of eight graduating seniors. The capstone event for studio art majors, the exhibit is on display through January 20, 2021.

The student artists are:
Kat Yoshie Bertram
Nikki M. Dinkins
Morgan Joseph Bair McMahan
Arianne N. Murray
Mary Grace Norris
Ian H. Schulte
Melissa N. Spivey
(Jack) John Thomas Williams III

The 2020 UNCW Digital Arts Senior Capstone Showcase is a display of the 2D and 3D graphic design, client-based work, animation and game design work of six graduates. The showcase is viewable through a web browser or VR headset.

The student artists are:
Trish Beeksma
Rilee Knott

Launched in 2017, the digital arts program was developed by the UNCW Department of Computer Science and the Department of Art and Art History for students to receive in-depth training in both the technical and aesthetic elements of the digital design and production process.
